A quest for perfect picante
A co-worker has been on a quest for the perfect chicken picante since being hired here a couple months ago. She's Italian and can cook, so she knows her stuff and is a tough critic. So far she's sampled Mama Mia's, Dino's Diner and today Giusseppe's, all within a mile of our office in Seaville.
I asked her for a report for the blog. Francine Palumbo writes:
"Mama Mia's had the most lemony taste but they ruined it with weird shaped pasta in a horrible red sauce (not worthy enough to be called 'gravy') and the chicken pieces were few but meaty.
Dino's Diner served a large portion over rice (my choice) but wasn't very lemony or flavorful....
Guiseppe's had the lamest chicken pieces (very thin--reminded me of the turkey slices in a TV Dinner, although not quite that thin). Ample pasta and served with broccoli on top (goes nicely with lemon sauce), but the sauce was minimal, not very lemony, and quite bland.
My search for Chicken Picante continues!
