STONE HARBOR -- Think you make the best chowder in town? This is your chance to prove it. The Stone Harbor Chamber of Commerce will once again sponsor their annual Chowder Contest on Saturday, May 2. All chowder entries must arrive fully cooked in a crock pot and be brought to the tent in front of the Chamber of Commerce office on 96th Street by 11:45 a.m.  The contest is free to enter and three most popular chowders will be awarded prizes. Would you rather taste chowder than make it? Come to the tent outside of the Chamber of Commerce office at 12 p.m. on Saturday, and you can taste all the delicious chowders and cast your vote for the best.
