I've received a handful of responses from people who attended last Saturday Harvest Festival at Natali Vineyards in Middle Township. Everyone loved the atmosphere of the event, where they had live music being played, wine tastings along with cheese and bread from Seaside Cheese and Victory Baking, respectively, as well as cookbook sales, beach plum products for sale like pepper jelly and jams and jellies. One reader relatively new to the area said she used to attend event like that when she lived in New York and loved it. Another said she enjoyed strolling around with her husband, meeting people sampling wine and went home with six bottles for herself and to use as gifts through the holidays. A Cape May couple said they loved nibbling their way through the afternoon, getting "a slight buzz," listening to music and meeting the vineyard owners. I didn't manage to make it out there but from these reports, I won't miss the next one. We're lucky to be in Cape May County now as these wine events will become more and more frequent!
