Flight Deck restaurant opens at county airport
Last week, the Delaware River and Bay Authority (DRBA) representatives, Cape
May County and Lower Township government officials, local business leaders, and airport tenants gathered to celebrate the construction of a new hangar complex, developed by local businessmen, and the re-opening of the Flight Deck Diner, at the Cape May Airport.
Located at the western end of the airport facility, the new 10,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art hangar complex was developed through the joint efforts of William Kindle of Cape Auto Sales, Inc.; Robert Smeltzer Sr. of Smeltzer & Sons, Inc., Ronald Gelzunas, D.O. of North Wildwood Medical Associates; and Joseph Gilmartin of Century 21 Real Estate, Cape May.
As for the restaurant, operated by Brian Marker, the Flight Deck Diner is open daily from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., serving breakfast classics and lunch specialties at reasonable prices. The Flight Deck is also open for dinner every Friday and Saturday, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The 1,400-square-foot restaurant facility, which is located at 505 Terminal Drive near the NASW Museum at the Cape May Airport, boasts seating capacity of approximately 50.
