Disappointing Dinner Impossible
Maybe I was expecting too much, but I thought last night's Dinner Impossible about the Wildwoods stunk.
First off, the new chef, talented as he is and probably a real nice guy, is no Robert Irvine. I don't care if Irvine said he cooked for the White House when he really didn't, Dinner Impossible is made for him and not for Michael Symon, his replacement.
Second, how do you take footage of an entire day on the Wildwood Boardwalk and cut it down to a 30-minute show, which is basically18 minutes of footage after commercials, intro and credits? It needs to be at least an hour.
And lastly, isn't it a food show? Where was all the food? I heard so much about the different things he made and saw only a handful, and two of them -- a clam bake and ribs -- can be done by any amateur back-yard barbecuer.
Disappointing. Apparently, this was a sneak-peak show, as someone alerted me after my initial post, so hopefully it will be an hour when it re-airs in August, and it will show more of what makes Wildwood fun.
